How do group drives work?

An organizer builds a route with a meetup, stops, and roads snapped to real tarmac, then runs it public, private, or chapter-only. Drivers join the roster, see each other live on the map during the drive, and use one-tap signals and push-to-talk to stay coordinated.

Tarmac Society is available on iOS via the App Store, with a public beta on TestFlight. An Android version is in development. You can download it and get started for free.

Does it track or encourage speeding?

No. Tarmac Society is a coordination and discovery tool — it never tracks, times, or ranks speed. Legendary Roads is a community guide to great driving roads, with no speed or timing, ever.

Who can see my location?

Accepted Answer

Your live location is shared only with that drive's approved roster, and only while the drive is active. It is never stored on our servers, and you can delete your account and personal data anytime, right inside the app.

Can I run a car club on Tarmac Society?

Yes. Start a chapter — public (request-to-join) or private (invite-only) — with its own chat and its own events, a paddock-mode show-board of every car at the meetup, garages, and a trophy case for milestones.
