Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

Tarmac Society (“Tarmac Society”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Redline Design LLC. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information you provide

  • Account: your email address (or an Apple/Google sign-in identifier), display name, and—optionally—a profile photo, Instagram handle, phone number, and home city or postal code.
  • Vehicles: the cars you add to your garage and any photos of them.
  • Content: events you create or join, club memberships, and messages you send in direct messages, club chats, and event chats.
  • Referrals: your invite code and who joined through it.

Information collected automatically

  • Location: with your permission, we use your device location to show nearby drives and to provide navigation. During an active drive only, your live position is shared with that drive’s approved roster so the group can stay together. This live location is not stored on our servers, and sharing stops the moment the drive ends.
  • Device & push token: if you enable notifications, we store a push token to deliver drive alerts.
  • Basic technical data: standard logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate Tarmac Society—events, the live map, voice, garage, clubs, and messaging.
  • To send notifications you’ve opted into (for example, when a drive you’ve joined starts).
  • To keep the community safe—reviewing reports, enforcing our rules, and blocking abusive users.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only:

  • With other users according to your settings—e.g. your public profile, the cars you mark public, and your live position with a drive’s approved roster while a drive is active.
  • With service providers that help us run the app: Mapbox (maps & navigation), LiveKit (live voice & data), Apple and Google (sign-in), RevenueCat (subscription management), Resend (email), and our hosting provider. They process data only to provide their service to us.
  • For legal reasons if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Your choices & rights

  • Delete your account: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your personal data (see retention below).
  • Block & report: you can block any user and report objectionable content or behavior from their profile or a conversation.
  • Permissions: you can turn off location, notifications, camera, and photo access in iOS Settings at any time.
  • Access & correction: edit your profile in-app, or contact us for help with your data.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove or irreversibly anonymize your personal data—including your name, email, photo, phone, location fields, and private messages—and you can no longer sign in. Some non-identifying records may remain where needed for legitimate operational or legal reasons.

Children

Tarmac Society is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Participating in a drive requires that you are of legal driving age in your jurisdiction with a valid license and insurance.

Security

We use industry-standard measures—encrypted transport, hashed passwords, and access controls—to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
